Proud New Owner

Hope you all had a very good New Years Day. I wish you all a very prosperous year!

I’m have some very exciting news today — I had an opportunity open up to purchase an Epson Scrapbook Central for a VERY good price. So, not being able to pass up a really good deal — I am now the proud new owner of an Epson Scrapbook Central! What’s so great about that you say? Well I’ll be telling you more about the capabilities I now have in the days to come. I’ll say this today, I now have some great services to offer to my Close To My Heart customers as well as the general public.

One of the things I’m most excited about is the scanner that is part of this system. It can scan a 12 x 12 scrapbook page (paper or digital) and it does a tremendous job of it too! For those of us who love to scrap the traditional way, create that paper page for yourself, then have it scanned to put in books for others for a gift. You get to satisfy your need to touch those papers but you can quickly create additional pages for duplicate books by scanning your 12 x 12 page. The prints produced on the Epson R1800 photo printer (another piece of this system) are spectacular. No way you can get this quality at Kinkos or another copy center.

Okay, that’s enough for today. I’ll be introducing more features of the Epson Scrapbook Central in the days to come.

WONDERFUL Weekend

Ron and I spent the weekend in Leander, Texas, where we had our Granny Christmas yesterday. “Granny Christmas” is the annual get together for my side of the family. It is held the weekend before Christmas Day — we have done this for years and we look forward to it every year. We had a great time but as all of Granny’s (my Mother) great munchkins (great grandchildren) get older, the places we gather at sure are getting smaller and smaller. Plus, Granny’s dressing recipe that is supposed to feed an army is barely feeding everyone now that the army has grown not only in numbers but in age as well. It was wonderful seeing everyone though. There were only a couple family members who couldn’t make it — we missed you Natalie, Dianne, and Mallory. And as always, we missed those who are no longer here with us!

My Scentsy Kit Arrived!!

I’m soooooo excited! My Scentsy kit arrived last evening and I feel all official now. All I need to do now is get everything organized and start working on scheduling some parties.

I’ve got so many things I want to be doing other than working at my daytime job. But unfortunately, at least for now, I’ll keep on getting up early every morning and getting myself in to the office. It’s really not that bad — I have a GREAT boss who is very easy to work for.

Hope you all have a great day! More to come later

Renewed Commitment!

Well, I hope “better late than never” will be a good enough excuse for having a blog set up for quite a while but never really doing anything with it.

But, I am renewing my commitment to my blogging efforts and want to start off with a couple of announcements:

  • I am now a SCENTSY Independent Consultant. I have joined my daughter’s (Amber Kazmir) Scentsy team and am now able to offer Scentsy products to everyone. If you’ve never heard of Scentsy you are in for a real treat. Visit my Scentsy website at www.scentsy.com/bjosselet to learn about WICKLESS candles! They are GREAT.

  • Monday, December 14, 2009, was an exciting day for me. I attended a COPIC CERTIFICATION class in San Antonio, Texas, and am now certified to teach other people about Copic products! Well that’s great but just what does it mean to be a Copic Certified? It means that I have been trained in the use of Copic products and am able to share with others the things I have been taught about Copic products. I am also now able to:

●   Teach papercrafting classes. (Well actually I already do this with my Close To My Heart scrapbook workshops. BUT, I love teaching other people and plan to expand my class offerings.)

●   Offer in-store demos.

What I REALLY want to do when I retire from my day job — is teach craft classes. I love, love, love crafting and love seeing the satisfaction and amazement in the faces of other crafters who have just learned something new or understood how to do something better.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and will come back to visit me often. Bye for now. I have a LOT of learning to do when is comes to blogging successfully.
